Distilled water: Purified water is water obtained by distillation, ion-exchange process, reverse osmosis, or other suitable process.

Glycerin: or glicerol is an alcohol produced as a byproduct during the manufacture of soap and biodiesel. It absorbs water from the air, and it is used as a moisturizer in soaps and lotions.

Sodium stearate: is the major component of soap . Sodium stearate is made by reacting sodium with stearic acid to create the salt , sodium stearate.

Sorbitol: also known as glucitol, is a sugar alcohol the body metabolises slowly. It is obtained by reduction of glucose changing the aldehyde group to an additional hydroxyl group hence the name sugar alcohol. Often used in modern cosmetics as a thickening agent.

Propylene glycol: is an organic compound . A tasteless, odorless and colorless clear oily liquid that is hygroscopic and miscible with water. Applications are numerous: as a medical lubricant, as a solvent for food colours, food additive, fragrance oils, antibacterial lotions, shampoos, bubble baths…

Stearic acid: Its name comes from the Greek word stear, which means tallow. A colorless, odorless, waxlike fatty acid, occurring in natural animal and vegetable fats. Stearic acid is useful as an ingredient in making candles, soaps and in cosmetics. Used to harden soaps, particularly those made with vegetable oil, that otherwise tend to be very soft.

Lauric acid: It is the main acid in coconut oil and in palm kernel oil, and is believed to have antimicrobial properties. It is used in many soaps and shampoos.

Sodium chloride: readily soluble in water and insoluble or only slightly soluble in most other liquids. Odorless but has a characteristic taste. One of the most widely employed materials of the chemical industry. Used in manufacturing bicarbonate of soda, soap, as well as in ceramic glazes, food preservation and many consumer products, including mineral water and salt.
